If you've lived around here long enough, you know many people feel frustrated when they look at housing prices. Buyers have been battling rising prices and low inventory for years, and plenty of homeowners wonder if they "missed their chance."
But here's the reality: we've been in a seller's market for a long time, and despite higher prices, homeowners throughout the Quiet Corner are sitting on something many never imagined possible—their homes are worth more today than at any point in their lives.
📈 Inventory has improved compared to the frenzy of a few years ago, but quality homes are still moving quickly. Buyers are becoming more selective, and sellers who price realistically are being rewarded.
💡 One thing I remind people every day: there is no "perfect" market.
People have gotten married, had children, downsized, retired, relocated, and built wealth in high-rate markets, low-rate markets, booms, and recessions. Life doesn't stop because the headlines say it's complicated.
And if you've owned your home for five, ten, twenty, or thirty years, chances are you're selling at the highest value you've ever seen. That's something worth appreciating.
For buyers, more inventory means more choices than we've had in several years. For sellers, demand remains healthy. The market isn't easy, but it is active—and opportunities still exist for people who have a plan.
