Kathy’s interest in real estate was first sparked while an undergrad at the University of Arizona where she was hired to analyze weekly sales and listings with the rapidly expanding Tucson market. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, and their worldwide adventures began with a Peace Corps tour in the Philippines. Her husband, a Marine Scientist, joined the Smithsonian Institut
ion and Kathy launched her real estate career while completing her MBA. Eventually, research opportunities took them to a lower latitude where they spent the next eight years working throughout the Caribbean islands. They settled in the Dominican Republic in a beautiful home by the sea. Here they developed a mariculture and aquaculture company and welcomed their most prized accomplishments -- two beautiful daughters. Returning to the Chesapeake Bay region to raise their family, Kathy’s career headed to the media world where she became an award-winning radio and podcast host, journalist, and author highlighting the boomer generation. She has her own podcast called 2BoomerBabes Radio Hour. Her love for real estate never waned and upon her retirement from the radio world, she joined The McKee Group as Sales Manager for the Bay Bridge Cove 55+ new home development on Kent Island, selling all 273 villas. Kathy’s experience and expertise in the 55+ arena coupled with her impeccable reputation, offers her clients a valuable resource as they navigate their next move. As a resident of the Eastern Shore for over 30 years, Kathy is a long standing Community volunteer having served as President of the United Fund of Talbot County, Chair and Co-Chair of the Festival of Trees (Hospice), Board Member and Marketing Chair for Empty Bowls of Talbot County, Board Member of Chesapeake Chamber Music, and Character Counts Coach among others. In her down time, Kathy enjoys sailing the Chesapeake, Pilates, cycling, long walks with her husband and doodle, Pippa, travel adventures and anything that involves spending as much time as possible with her family and two (soon to be four!) grandbabies. With over $200 million in sales, a unique background and deep understanding of her client’s needs, Kathy has proudly joined TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in Easton, Maryland.
