It’s called low inventory and it is everywhere. Inventory did pick up this spring but we are still at lower than necessary levels. As I said recently, the market will balance out but other than less competition, don’t expect prices to change too much.

Hundreds of cities and towns are seriously short of housing, both homes to buy and rentals, according to a new study. It's the main reason that home prices and rents are so high.

There is an expectation that we are going to see a drop in housing prices. I don’t think that will happen. Instead you might see prices stabilize and less competition due to rising interest rates.

Are housing prices going to drop? Depends on who ask Posted By John Sarianides on July 6, 2022 The real estate market is starting to correct itself. Between low inventory and rising interest rates, the market is starting to balance out. Notice I said balance out. I did not say it will favor buyers o...

With interest rates expected to rise again in the coming weeks, buyers need to make sure they get their pre-approval and commitment letters updated. Here’s my story on why it’s important.

With interest rates going up, make sure you update that approval letter Posted By John Sarianides on May 3, 2022 Interest rates continue to climb. The rate on a 30 year fixed as of July 8th was 6.4%. In comparison, rates were in the mid fours four months ago. So what does that mean if you are pre-ap...

Real estate analyst Dave Ramsey says home prices are not coming down in his opinion. Interesting take considering the increase in price changes the last three months. He does however make a sound and compelling case for why they will not come down.

Thoughts on the current market.

1. Prices are starting to drop. We are seeing price changes in the majority of markets in Massachusetts and Rhode Islsnd.

2. Interest rates are steady but continuing to rise.

3. There are a variety of lender programs available right now that can offer a lower rate and close in less than 30 days.

4. The market is trending downward but it’s not going to be 2008 all over again. That being said. If the economic slowdown continues, it will be a really good time to enter the market. I would know. I did it in 2008. Something to think about as a first time homebuyer.

Call me at 774-284-0857 or email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Rates have been fluctuating of late. What do rising interesting rates mean for buyers? Believe it or not. It could be a good thing for buyers that rates are going up.

Interest rates are going up. What does it mean for buyers short term and long term Posted By John Sarianides on February 12, 2022 Interest rates are climbing. It is a trend that started last year. The average rate for a 30 year fixed mortgage was 2.65% in January of 2021. Rates have gradually increa...
