Happy Sunday ✨🏡

Late night phone calls asking for help selling a client’s home. 🥹

The babies are sound asleep, but this mama will be up pulling comps and getting paperwork together for a meeting tomorrow with a brand new client!

I’m just a few weeks shy of celebrating ONE YEAR since passing my real estate exam. In that time, I’ve sold 3 properties and helped 4 clients find a place to call home. ❤️

I’ve also been patiently waiting for the opportunity to list a previous client’s home now that I’ve helped her get settled into her new one.

And just as I was sitting here thinking, “Okay, Lord… what’s next? I need more leads!” He provides. 🙌🏼

You see, this was never a race for me. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself during my first year in real estate. I wanted to take my time, build genuine relationships, learn everything I could, and become a better version of myself for my clients and my business.

I wanted to build something meaningful, not just something successful.

And while I’ve been busy doing just that, the Lord has been taking care of the rest. ❤️

I’m so thankful for every client who has trusted me, every lesson I’ve learned, and every opportunity that continues to come my way.

IT’S ALL FOR THEM. 🤍

When I’m home, I work from my kitchen. And hanging right beside me are my daily reminders of why I chose this business in the first place.

For them.

I want those little eyes watching me to see what it looks like to work hard. To help people even when there’s nothing in it for you. To lead with kindness. To give more than you take. And to understand that how you treat people will always matter more than what you get in return.

Today looked a little like this…

Phone call after phone call helping a previous client work through HVAC issues. And yes, I said previous, because handing over the keys doesn’t mean our relationship ends.

Checking in on a mold remediation to make sure things were completed for another home.

Helping a client who had no idea there was a second mortgage tied to their property track down documents so we can keep moving toward the closing table.

And getting one step closer to closing on our Waynesville home, which sometimes means simply making sure everyone is communicating, everyone knows what’s happening, and nothing falls through the cracks.

None of those things make for the glamorous side of real estate. 😂 There are a lot of phone calls, paperwork, problem solving, follow-ups, and occasionally thinking, how on earth are we going to figure this one out?

But we figure it out.

Real estate can be a lot to juggle. But sitting here today, looking at all those little masterpieces hanging in my kitchen, I realized something…

They’re watching how I juggle it.

And if watching their mom work teaches them to work hard, show up for people, lead with kindness, and give a little more than they take—

then every crazy day is worth it.

I was in second grade, sitting in Mrs. Terrill’s class.

Another teacher popped her head into the room and said, “Turn on your TV. Now.”

We all sat there and watched as a plane hit that big tower. At seven years old, we didn’t understand what we were seeing. I remember thinking, Yes! A movie day.

But then I looked at my teacher’s face.

There was so much sorrow written across it that even at seven years old, we knew something was wrong.

Then, one by one, our names started being called over the speaker. Parents were coming to sign their children out of school. Finally, I heard my name.

I walked down that hallway and left with my mom, still not understanding what could possibly be happening.

I remember my mom and dad sitting inside our house while I sat on the front porch, staring up at the sky. Every plane that passed over scared me.

What did they mean when they said, “We are under attack?”

At seven years old, I couldn’t fully comprehend those words.

I didn’t know what it was like to lose someone that day. I didn’t know what it was like to kiss your husband, wife, mother, father, son, daughter, brother, or sister goodbye that morning, only for them to never come home.

But even at seven, I felt something shift.

I felt the fear. I felt the sadness. I felt like the world was falling apart. But I also watched a country realize just how much we needed one another to keep going.

25 years later, I make it a point to ensure my children,(although they weren’t there,) know what happened on September 11, 2001. I want them to understand the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families who were forever changed, and the day that changed America forever.

Because no matter how much time passes, those lives deserve to be remembered.

The mothers and fathers.
The sons and daughters.
The husbands and wives.
The friends and coworkers.
The first responders and heroes.

2,977 lives.

25 years later, may we still say their names, tell their stories, and teach the generations who weren’t there.

Real estate is only spooky when you don’t have a plan. 😉

First things first, plan that pre-approval. Don’t know where to start? I know a guy. 💁🏼‍♀️

✨I don’t disappear after closing. Keys are handed over and two months later you have a random homeowner question? Call me. Need a contractor? Ask me. Can’t remember something from your inspection? Send it over.

✨ You become family. Neighborhood page says there’s weird activity down the street? 😂 I’m probably sending you the post like, “Did you see this?!”

My job isn’t just to get you to the closing table. It’s to help you feel like you have someone in your corner before, during, and long after the transaction. 🏡🤍

So yes… buying or selling can feel a little spooky. 👻

This one is officially CLOSED! 🎉

I had the privilege of representing both the seller and the buyer on this condo, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust that both sides placed in me throughout this transaction.

Every closing teaches me something new, but this one feels a little extra special. It marks my 5th transaction in my first year of real estate and I still have moments where I stop and think, I really get to do this. 🥹

To my seller, thank you for trusting me to get this condo SOLD. And to my buyer, thank you for taking a chance on me after one phone call and allowing me to help you into your new home. 🏡❤️

The last time I walked into this Irongate office in Springboro, my husband and I were purchasing our very first home. Our agent, Meghan, made such an impact on me during that experience that she ultimately inspired me to become a Realtor myself.

Fast forward just two years, and today I walked back into the same building, but this time, with my own deal. 🥹

Not only did I have the privilege of representing this transaction, but I represented both the buyer and the seller, making this my 5th transaction in my first year of real estate.

It’s crazy how life can bring you right back to where something started, only this time you’re standing there as the person you once hoped you could become.

So incredibly grateful for Meghan for the people who have trusted me along the way, and for every lesson this first year has taught me.

Just another glamorous day in real estate. 😂🏡

Today’s adventure included 7 showings and, somehow, every stop brought a new surprise:

🐾 3 homes where the presence of animals was… undeniable.
⚰️ 1 actual HUMAN CASKET — because apparently that’s something I needed to see today
💦 Standing water in basements
🥾 Standing water in yards that I, of course, hiked right through
🐦 Dead birds
✨ And enough questionable smells and sights to last me for the foreseeable future

At one point I genuinely thought, surely the next house will be normal.

It was not. 😂

But hey, we toured all 7, nobody fell through a floor, and the house hunt continues!

Real estate: come for the pretty kitchens, stay because your Realtor is apparently willing to walk through absolutely anything with you. 😂🏡

One of the things I love most about real estate is that you truly never know what you’re going to walk into, or who you’re going to meet along the way. ❤️

This one feels extra special because I have the privilege of representing both the sellers AND the buyer, and I couldn’t have asked for better people on either side of the transaction!

I was truly BLESSED to cross paths with some amazing sellers and an amazing buyer, and I’m so thankful they trusted me to help them through such a big chapter in their lives. 🥹🏡

Now we’re officially UNDER CONTRACT and headed toward the closing table! 🎉

Days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do. 💙
