The 2026 county property tax bills are due on or after October 1, 2026. If you do not receive your tax bill within the first full week of October, please contact our office.

Starting at 7am on Thursday you may view and pay your tax bills online at www.lyonsheriff.com. An ACH transaction will cost you $1.50 and a credit or debit card will cost you a 2.5% convenience fee.

When paying in person, please bring your tax bill with you. The following are the collection dates:

2% discount Paid by November 1

Face amount Paid by December 31

5% penalty Paid by January 31, 2027

10% penalty + 10% sheriff fee - Paid after January 31, 2027
