5 costs many first-time homebuyers forget to budget for:

🏡 1. Closing Costs
These typically include lender fees, title fees, attorney fees, and more.

🔑 2. Home Inspection
A small upfront cost that can help uncover expensive issues before you buy.

📦 3. Moving Expenses
Boxes, movers, truck rentals, and utility transfers can add up quickly.

🛠️ 4. Immediate Repairs & Maintenance
Even move-in-ready homes usually need something once you get the keys.

🪑 5. Furniture & Home Essentials
It’s exciting to decorate, but furnishing a new home can cost more than expected.

Buying a home is about more than just the down payment. Planning ahead can make the entire process much less stressful.

🏡 1. Get pre-approved before you start shopping. That way you’ll know exactly what you can afford.

💰 2. Don’t forget to budget for closing costs. Most buyers focus on the down payment, but there are other expenses to plan for too.

💳3. Try not to open any new credit cards or finance large purchases while you’re in the home-buying process. It can affect your loan approval.

📝 Plan for inspections, moving expenses, and those little costs that come after closing. Having a cushion can make the process much less stressful.

🤝 5. Work with a Realtor who takes the time to educate you—not just sell you a house. The right agent should answer your questions, explain your options, and help you feel confident every step of the way.
