Since 2013, Martha's Vineyard Sea Salt has been lovingly crafting sustainably made solar sea salt, but recent challenges have tested this island and Chamber member small business. After expanding production in 2023 to combat climate impacts, disaster struck on December 11, when fierce winds damaged their structure and ruined 200 lbs of sea salt. While no one was hurt, the loss has created financial strain. They’re seeking community support to rebuild and strengthen their systems for 2025.
