Real estate is a crazy business. Yesterday, a Realtor whom I do not know, but who was admired by many, lost her life in a tragic domestic violence incident. My heart goes out to her children and friends. Today, I had a choice. Wake up and live in the ugly that is our world sometimes, or make a choice to appreciate those who wake up around me and work in this same industry....I have met inspirational people, gotten to participate in actually shaping policy and, just today I was invited to a Broker's Open to visit a perfect mid-century home on the intercoastal waterway....Thanks to Rob West, I am now getting out of bed at 6:00am to enjoy beautiful New Smyrna Beach. Thanks to Ashton Musgrove and Scott Steger, I, and the other committee chairs and co-chairs are heard. Thanks to Matt Guarro and Kathryn Fleming, I got to dream a little today. Thanks to my husband, Peter Cottrell, I am beyond happy while all this is happening....look around, folks. Life really is pretty good. We can't let the ugly win. We are all in this together.
