Just a reminder that you need to check your homestead exemption status every 5 years. From when? From the last time you filed. Don’t know when that was? Then check annually so you don’t get caught without it or turn it in again now so you know it’s done. That’s a MASSIVE difference in your tax bill, which directly impacts your mortgage note.

Not sure how to check? Go to your county CAD and look up your property on property search. Look for the reduction in TAXABLE VALUE (not market value).

You can download the forms from CAD and turn them in.

If you got an invite for Tiny Homes MLS, that’s legit. We want to offer a per list national MLS for folks to sell their tiny homes (not RV’s or sheds) that are not “real property” as they are not attached to land.

The only board out there for those listings is free, until people start looking at your home and they charge percentage fees for the leads on your own home. You could spend $100 and never have a phone call.

The full website will be operational on November, but for now anyone can list their home for sale on the site.

Ps - there are two homes on the site for sale currently. :)

Were the really lawsuits about the consumers? I think not.

Attorneys get retainer fees up front before assisting their clients. When that's used up by hours, you pay more - thousands more. It's a feed-the-meter profession.

The irony of attorneys telling consumers to watch out for agents who charge more than 2% (which isn't paid unless the home sells and closes, so on the back end) shouldn't escape notice.
