Most agents brand to the wrong room…

…this is the mistake I made for years.

I built a brand I thought was working to market myself to new clients and it looked successful…

I thought all my posts and marketing would bring me new leads and clients…

but it was just other agents liking my posts.. NEVER new potential clients!!

I could have swore I was doing the right things…

The polished graphic posts.

The lifestyle shots.

The "Top Producer 2023" graphic.

The Zillow award badges.

The listing videos.

You know who never cared about any of that?

The buyer thinking about moving their family next year.

The seller wondering if now is the right time to list.

They don't see your BRAND the way other agents see it.

Here's where I got it wrong in the past and where I see alot agents struggling…

A brand isn't a logo. It isn't a color palette. It isn't your headshot.

A brand isn't being polished with your just sold graphics

A brand isn't about impressing other agents in your area for likes or to get compliments at the next happy hour meet and greet

A BRAND is being the first name someone thinks of when they have YOUR specific problem. Period.

The clearer you get on whose problem you solve, the less you'll care about looking polished to your peers.

This week, ask yourself one question.

Am I building a brand my next client would respect? Or one other agents would like?

Be honest….. Then start branding to the right room!

Hope that helps

Melissa has made me better in business... and honestly, better as a person too. She has patience, kindness, and empathy that I admire so much. I get to learn from her just by watching how she leads people.

Who has helped you become better?

If your value is not clear to AI… it will not recommend you.

That’s the same thing that happens across the table.

If you can’t present your value clearly at a listing presentation or a buyer consult, they’re not gonna work with you.

I learned that by not asking the right questions.

Has anyone had that moment before?

You don't have an offer…

…most agents don't. You’re just telling your job description.

I didn't either, for years.

When someone asked what I did, I'd say "I'm a real estate agent." Or "I help people buy and sell homes."

For a year or two when I ran my team it I thought my offer was “helping people achieve the dream of home ownership.” I really think that was the best version of the job description but ultimately…

That's not an offer. It was still my job description.

AND it’s the SAME one every other agent in our market has… It’s not an offer, it is…

A commodity.

Nobody picks a commodity.

They pick whoever showed up first.

Whoever a friend or their parents told them about.

Or whoever's name came up when they asked AI or whatever agent answered the call when they clicked schedule a tour when they were in bed cruising for homes on zillow last weekend…

You're not in the game until you have an OFFER. Period.

People seek out an OFFER. People refer to an OFFER.

An offer is something specific.

Something NOT everyone has. Something a seller can repeat to their spouse or friends over dinner without forgetting.

"He'll have my home prepped, priced, staged, photographed, and on the MLS in 7 days."

"She specializes in helping veterans relocate."

Specific. Ownable. Repeatable.

But being specific isn't enough…

Specific without a NAME is forgettable.

Agents that are about to dominate the next several years are are taking their specific offer and BRANDING IT!

"The 7-Day Launch."
"The Sellers Edge System."
"The 60-Day Move-In Plan."

Now it's a thing. Not a service. A thing a seller can repeat. A thing AI search can attach to your name when someone asks who handles X in your city.

Can you brand your specific offer?

Or are you just another realtor with a job description?

Here's the trap.
Don't build a brand that takes 30 minutes to explain.

If it needs that much education to land, you'll lose half the room before they say yes.

The right offer is specific. It’s BRANDED. AND understandable in one sentence.

This week, do two things.

Write down your offer in one sentence.

Give it a name. Not a tagline.

An actual move with a name.

Once a seller can repeat both, you have a brand.

Until then you have everything that everyone else has a job description.

Hope that helps

John Maxwell changed my life…

I’ve given away more of his books than I can remember. That’s what a good book does.

It helps you, then you start thinking about who else needs it.

Do you also have someone that changed your life?

This is where niching down starts.

I help _____.

Who are going through _____.

And struggling with _____.

That one sentence gives you the person, the event, and the pain.

That’s how you stop guessing what to say and start building a message around the problem you solve.

Who do you help, what are they going through, and what are they struggling with? Comment down below.

ChatGPT just answered "Realtor in [your city]."

It named ONE agent.

That one agent gets the call. The other 200 in your zip code stay invisible.

We are showing the exact framework Pemberton uses to be the agent AI names. Live, Thursday June 4 at 11 AM CT.

For MN & WI agents. Drop "AGENT" in the comments and I'll send you the link to register!

Pick one market... Find one real problem. Get clear on how you help.

Then work one funnel until it’s second nature.

Once you’re known for solving the problem... ask who else you can help.

What would you do if you had to start from zero?
