Someone once said to me, “It must be great to have a job where you get to set your own hours!” Newsflash: In real estate, there are no set hours. This never truly can be turned off for people like me who LOVE this work, take it seriously, and are always wanting to get everyone to closing happily. If my clients need me in a pinch? When the great closing attorneys working on Sunday afternoons need my help with something? When out at dinner and I overhear someone at a neighboring table mention a real estate falsehood and want to help. When I answer calls at 11pm from agents to take care of any last minute details before a closing the next day?

Many truly dedicated Realtors have no working hours. I do silence my phone if not in the middle of something time sensitive. (I do need some sleep!) And when I wake up at 6am, I’m right back onto MLS and diving into emails and texts.

Working hours? Will someone please remind me of what that phrase means? 😁
