Our agent spotlight this week has been with us since we hung our sign, Mr. Kim Rice. ✨
Kim is married to Martha and has two daughters, Kristin and Jenna.
Kim enjoys to travel, play golf, walk, and is learning pickle ball. Kim has been a member of Memorial Road Church of Christ since 1996.
Right behind family, Kim loves taking care of his lawn.
With roots in Nebraska and decades in Oklahoma, he loves watching college football, Husker volleyball, and above all else, Sooner softball.

The following are things every homeowner should do in the spring. Have you done the ones that pertain to you?

1. Change the batteries in your smoke/carbon monoxide alarms

2. Clean your air conditioner unit. Using a hose, spray the outside at a 45 degree angle.

3. Clean your gutter (should you live around large, mature trees).

4. Drain your hot water heater to remove sediment tht may be in the bottom and reducing it's effectiveness. Annually may not be necessary.

5. Clean out your dryer vent to prevent fires and make it more efficient.

Now on the real estate front: interest rates continue to climb along with the sales prices of homes. Inventory for the OKC area is extremely small...less than one months worth when normal is 6-9 months. Cash is king. Large investors are making it hard on buyers...especially first timers. There was a report today, June 8th, on KFOR: https://kfor.com/video/outbid-oklahomans-priced-out-of-homes-by-out-of-state-buyers/7743755/.

That said the market is still hot. Remember: when it comes to interest rates we have all become very spoiled as rates have been historically low since 2009. Many have never experienced rates like I did when I built my first home in 1984: 18% !! So for me 5,6,7,8% doesn't sound so bad. One may have to adjust what is affordable.
