The unspoken obligations of a realtor.

The ones that aren't in the contract. The ones nobody tells you about when you get your license. The ones you just figure out because you actually care.

Driving the street at night before you show it in the morning so you already know what you're walking them into.

Noticing the height marks on the doorframe and saying something. Because they're not just selling a house and you both know it.

Telling a seller the truth about what their home needs before it goes to market — even when it's not what they want to hear. Especially then.

Knowing when to slow down. When to push. When to just sit quietly in the feeling with someone who is making the biggest decision of their life.

Not because it's easy. Because it means everything before that moment went exactly right.
The conversation where I actually listened to what they wanted instead of what I assumed they meant. The listings I didn't send because they were close but not right. The showing I scheduled on a Wednesday morning before anyone else had seen it. The drive down the street before they arrived so I already knew what I was walking them into.

When someone walks into a home and knows — immediately, completely, without needing to think about it — that's not luck.
That's what happens when the work before the showing is done properly.
