There’s something extra special about bringing new life into a home with history ✨

This mid-century modern beauty, originally built in 1947, had seen its fair share of changes over the years—additions here, updates there… until it felt a little pieced together and lost its original flow.

That’s where the vision came in.

Our homeowners didn’t just want a remodel… they wanted a home that felt cohesive, intentional, and completely them. And they brought the personality in the best way—starting with each of their kids designing their own bathroom (yes, really 👏). Think bold, exotic tile and spaces that feel as unique as each person who lives there.

And while every corner of this home tells a story now… I have to admit, I have a favorite.

The sunroom.

Glass walls, brick floors, natural light pouring in—it’s the kind of space that instantly makes you slow down and stay awhile. I can already picture the dining table filled with friends, laughter, and late-night conversations.

This is what a remodel should feel like—personal, meaningful, and full of life.

People see the finished home… but they don’t always see what it took to get there.

We were incredibly honored to be chosen as the feature exhibit for the Home & Outdoor Living Show, and we knew we didn’t want to just build a booth — we wanted to build something that actually helped people. A space where people could figure out whether they should remodel, rebuild, or resell.

What’s funny is the process looked almost exactly like building one of our custom homes.

It started with a custom architectural drawing.
Then a 3D fly-through.
Then material selections, planning, and scheduling.
Then the messy middle.
Then the late nights and final touches.
And finally, opening day and seeing people walk through it, talk, dream, and get excited about their homes.

Even though this was a “mini build,” it reminded us of something we say all the time at OklaHome Builders — this isn’t just construction. It’s ideas, problem solving, teamwork, stress, excitement, and sometimes blood, sweat, and real (like for real) tears.

But in the end, it’s always worth it when you see people smiling and dreaming about what’s next.

That’s why we love what we do.
