Why is everything so ugly?

We’ve spent nine years asking it — and doing something about it.

The wealthiest country in history. The most advanced tools we’ve ever had. And we keep building places that feel like nowhere.

Townsend is our biggest move yet. A mixed-use infill project in a walkable district in the OKC metro. Real materials. Real proportions. Real craft. The kind of place American cities used to build by default, before we forgot how.

They’ve got cottages you can rent, walking trails, a vineyard, fire pits, and a whole lot of peace and quiet.

We helped build a few of the spaces out there, but what they’ve created goes way beyond the buildings. It’s thoughtful, it’s beautiful, and it’s built for people who want a more curated life.
