Meet Crown Heights | one of OKC’s most beloved historic neighborhoods, and honestly one of my favorites to walk clients through.
The 411: developed in the early 1930s on the original Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club land. Back then, so many doctors lived here that locals called it “Pill Hill.”
Today it’s known for:
🌳 Tree-lined streets that feel like a movie set
🏛️ Tudor and Colonial Revival architecture — the real kind, not the “inspired by” kind
🦍 Gorilla Hill — yes, that Gorilla Hill, the one runners either love or curse during the OKC Marathon
📍 A location that puts you minutes from the Plaza, Paseo, Midtown, and downtown
Homes here typically range from the mid-$400s to $1M+ depending on size and restoration.
Who it’s a good fit for: buyers who want historic character with real walkability, professionals who want a short commute without giving up charm, and anyone who’s ever driven through and thought “wait — what neighborhood IS this?”
Inventory moves — if Crown Heights has been on your list, let’s talk before the fall market picks up.
Warmly,
Claire
