Cleaning out my garage yesterday and I run across this classic example of my father’s ingenuity. I complained once of not being able to blow up my open house balloons (I’m a realtor) without getting dizzy. If you bought them all blown up they got tangled in the car and blocked your vision. Sooo… The next time I saw my dad, he gifted me this invention. A pump, with a car lighter adapter, and a hose. Plug it in, put a balloon on the tube, et voila! A balloon-blower-upper! Miss you, papa!

A few more blooms. Those are not your grandmother’s ditch lilies, they are the huge blooms of “Primal Scream”. I’m not a big fan of orange. but cannot resist these. There’s a Prince Tut papyrus in there too - everything else is fairly pedestrian.

Crabapple in the fall - for a wee bit in the spring, she is resplendent. Most of the summer she is a badly shaped, blight ridden mess. But the fall, the fall is why I keep her.
