To begin, we’d like to introduce the founder of Heritage Auction & Realty: Randy Sexton—owner, broker, and principal auctioneer. 🍀
Randy started Heritage Auction & Realty in 2020, but his experience in real estate spans multiple decades and has working experience in other related industries - insurance and banking.🗃️
Randy began his real estate career in 1988 as a licensed agent and has since become one of the most experienced and longest practicing professionals in the region. The following year, he began his auction journey, laying the foundation for what would become a long-standing career. He earned his title as a real estate broker in 1990 while with Estes Realty. Three years later, he also became a real estate appraiser - work that he continues to this day.📍
He currently serves on the Board of Directors representing the people of Metcalfe County for Farmers Rural Electric Company Cooperative, a role he has been honored to serve since 2002. In addition, he is proud to currently serve on the Board of Directors for East Kentucky Power Cooperative, which provides electricity to approximately 1.2 million Kentuckians.💡
Over the years, Randy has also been involved in regional and community development through a wide range of initiatives and leadership roles. His service has included participation with the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD), where he served on the Housing & Home Program Advisory Board, the Transportation Committee, and as Chairman of the Workforce Investment Act Board. He also served on the Southern Kentucky AHEC (Area Health Education Center) Board, which played a key role in physician recruitment and encouraging careers in healthcare within Metcalfe County.
