Hey, do you have plans tonight?
The song says working on the weekends like usual, and my husband’s camera roll proves it.
I don’t focus on the day of the week enough to know it is Saturday. When you are a Realtor based in Edwardsville, Illinois, morning coffee at my kitchen table answering inspection questions. Afternoon lockbox in Glen Carbon. Evening contract review back in Holiday Shores while Biggie Smalls tries to sit directly on my laptop.
I am Nicci Grotefendt with RE/MAX Alliance. I am also founder of Travel GHR and The Conscious Creator. Different industries, same rule my dad taught me: integrity over the bottom dollar.
Whether it is a house in Madison County or a table in Akumal with family from Living Dreams Mexico, my job is the same. Know the people behind the place. For my buyers that means the school district, the neighbor who shovels driveways, the history of the foundation. For my travel advisors that means knowing the local guide by name.
Working weekends is not hustle culture. It is showing up when people need you.
