As I'm building my real estate business in the area, I thought I'd share a little about myself and answer a few questions you might have!

Q: Are you new to real estate?
A: Yes! I'm a new Realtor and excited to begin helping buyers and sellers in our community.

Q: What did you do before real estate?
A: I was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years raising our 3 boys. Before that, I worked as a nurse and have maintained my nursing license over the years.

Q: Why did you move to this area?
A: My husband and I moved back to his hometown to be closer to his parents and to help with the family farm.

Q: Why real estate?
A: Throughout my life, I've always enjoyed helping people. Whether it was caring for patients as a nurse, raising a family, or helping on the farm, serving others has always been important to me. Real estate felt like a natural next step where I can help people through one of life's biggest milestones.

Q: What do you love about small-town living?
A: The sense of community. Neighbors helping neighbors, supporting local businesses, and knowing the people around you makes all the difference.

Q: What can people expect when working with you?
A: Honesty, hard work, communication, and someone who genuinely cares about helping you reach your goals.

Karen was born and raised in Newton and has called the area home her entire life. She is married, has three adult sons, and is the proud grandmother of six adorable grandchildren who bring so much joy to her life.

Following her retirement from the Department of Agriculture, Karen obtained her real estate license in 2012 and has been passionately serving buyers and sellers ever since. She loves meeting new people, and her favorite part of real estate is helping clients find the perfect home and helping sellers connect with the right buyer. Karen believes honesty is first and foremost, and that commitment shines through in every transaction.
