The summer market may be cooling, but Greater Sacramento real estate remains steady.

August ended with 4,425 homes for sale, 1,603 closed sales and an average sold price of $689,000.

As we head into fall, buyers have more time and negotiating power, while sellers need to be thoughtful about pricing, presentation and marketing.

The market hasn’t stopped. It’s simply settled into a new pace.
