Let’s hear your thoughts about a possible El Dorado Hills’ independence… 😱

Could El Dorado Hills be on the path to becoming its own city? The conversation is gaining serious momentum! On April 3rd, a special Board meeting kicks off formal discussions with LAFCO to explore this game-changing possibility.

Here's why this matters to every resident:
💫 EDH contributes 30% of the county's tax base but receives disproportionately fewer services
💫 With 50,000+ residents (26% of county population), we're represented by just one supervisor
💫 Cityhood would mean local control over roads, public safety, parks, and development
💫 No new taxes promised - proponents will only proceed if financially viable without tax increases
💫 Community survey shows strong resident support for exploring cityhood options

The transition from "cash cow" for the county to an independent city would mean more responsive governance and ensuring our tax dollars directly benefit our community.

“Kelli Griggs is a realtor extraordinaire. She is a professional, skillful negotiator, and a woman with a heart. Her team supports her and her clients in a thoughtful, considerate, and caring way. Kelli helped me buy my dream home and list my current home for sale.

I have been kept apprised of all phases of the purchasing and the selling process, and supported each step of the way(..)

Kelli negotiated a fair price, and we came to an agreement on terms. Just days before escrow closed, the buyer's financing fell through. After I had found my dream home, Kelli negotiated the contract for its purchase contingent on the sale of my existing home.

Since the sale of my house was not happening, I was at risk of losing the home I so wanted to purchase. Kelli came up with a plan for me to be able to buy my new home before selling my current one. She connected me to a mortgage broker who offers bridge loans for just such circumstances; I was able to purchase my home, and will refinance once my old home has sold.

Though the entire process has been extremely stressful and harrowing, Kelli has listened compassionately, offering her experience and wisdom to help ease me through it. We are moving into our new home in just a few days; this would simply not have been possible if not for Kelli and her cohesive team.
