Yesterday was such a great day.
I had the opportunity to attend and sponsor the grand opening and ribbon cutting for The Lavender Lounge Massage and Spa and Sultra Skin Studio, and the turnout was incredible.
I don’t think people always realize what goes on behind the scenes before a business ever opens its doors.
My best friend Sylvia, owner of Sultra Skin Studio, is one of the hardest working people I know. There were times she worked 40-hour night shifts, went straight to school at 8 a.m., and then spent countless hours building her business. She sacrificed sleep, free time, and more than most people would ever be willing to give. Most people would have quit long before reaching the finish line. Sylvia just kept going…..and today was proof that hard work really does pay off.
And if you’ve ever met Heaven, owner of Lavender Lounge, then you know exactly why so many people support her. She is genuinely one of the kindest, sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Over the past several weeks, she and Sylvia have worked tirelessly to get moved into their new location and prepare for today’s grand opening.
The turnout this weekend was a beautiful reminder of how important it is for small towns to support local businesses. Every new business brings life, opportunity, and investment back into our community. When we show up for each other, our entire town benefits.
As a Realtor, I spend my days helping people find homes, but I also believe thriving local businesses are a huge part of what makes a community feel like home. That’s why I love supporting fellow business owners whenever I can.
A huge thank you to Sylvia Sweaney and Heaven Bell for allowing me to sponsor gift bags for the event. It was an honor to be a small part of such a special day.
And thank you to Rachel Shirey for the amazing cupcakes and cookies…..they were absolutely beautiful and a huge hit with everyone who attended.
Congratulations, Sylvia and Heaven. You should both be incredibly proud. What you’ve built is beautiful, and today’s turnout showed just how many people are cheering you on.
