HENRY TROST IN THE ABDOU

The sign in this photograph says "This floor is carrying a dead load of 250 pounds per square foot". And it still is - this is either the second or third floor of the Abdou Building, which still stands 111 years after this circa 1909 image was shot. The gentleman standing in the front left foreground is none other than Henry C. Trost.
