Unfortunately, they came back.

The second time, they stole another mini-split that was still mounted on the wall, but left the other one behind. I removed it and brought it home before they could return.

We secured all the doors with 2x4s, but the very next morning we found evidence they had tried to break in again. Thankfully, they couldn’t get inside.

We’ve since installed security cameras and can now monitor the property remotely.

This is the first night without another break-in attempt.

Pray for us and for everyone dealing with challenges like these. We aren’t giving up. We keep learning, adapting, and moving forward. 🙏💪🏠

🚨 Our project got broken into over the weekend.

Unfortunately, the thieves made off with two cabinets, mini-split units, a kitchen faucet, and several light fixtures.

While it’s never something you want to deal with, it’s part of the reality of owning and renovating investment properties.

We’re already taking action by installing metal security doors, security lighting, cameras, and strengthening the property’s overall security.

One lesson I’d share with anyone working on a renovation project: don’t leave loose materials or expensive items at the property unless they’re being installed right away.

Lesson learned. The project continues, and we’ll be back to work tomorrow.
