Taxes are due April 15 unless you get an extension...

What I'm sharing with you, won't help you this year, but it may help you next year.

You see, I took an interest in learning about taxes over 10 years ago. You'll pay taxes until you die. So why not figure out how to make taxes work for you and not against you.

Last night I was on a Zoom call with investor Bronson Hill and CPA Tim Gertz. Here are some tips they shared.

- As a W2 employee, you miss out on a lot of tax benefits

- Ways to save on your taxes:
1. Invest in Oil and Gas Companies (actual mining not stocks)

2. Become a Real Estate Investor

3. Common benefits to owning a business
- This expense is deductible if you own a business. It’s not as an employee.

4. Set up a home office
- This is a separate room in your place specially set up as an office. Using it as a playroom for your kid does not count.

5. Rent an office/buying an office could be tax deductible

- 27% of people have less than $1,000 saved

So, next year you may pay more for taxes. 😭

This is nothing new but don't be surprised.

But you have a few weeks to lower what you owe.

Here's 7 easy ways:

1. make charitable donations

2. set up a home base business

3. buy rental real estate

4. set up your home office

5. buy things for your home office

6. keep track of business miles with your vehicle

7. contribute to a HSA and traditional IRA/401k

Of course verify this with your tax advisor or look up the info on the IRS website for more details. I am not a tax advisor but sharing free info.

The real estate market is going through a transition and some commercial property may be available for cheaper prices.

This is a good time to build up your money supply and also learn either in person or online on a Zoom call.
