😂 Weird El Paso rules

* 🧊 Selling ice made outside the city can be illegal — unless the ice was made entirely from distilled water. Yes, there is literally an El Paso ordinance about this.

* 🏠 Messing with your house number is illegal. You can’t remove, alter, conceal, or replace an assigned house number with an incorrect one.

* 🧊 Leaving an old refrigerator where kids can access it can be illegal if it has an airtight door/lid or locking mechanism that can’t be opened from inside.

* 🔊 Your loud music can actually become a violation. Certain residential sounds exceeding the city’s nighttime limits can be unlawful, including music, TVs and other sound-producing devices.

* 🛒 You can’t just sell stuff from a vacant lot or public right-of-way. The city prohibits certain merchandise sales in those locations.

* 🏷️ You can’t have unlimited garage sales. In residential districts, the same property is limited to three yard/garage sales per calendar year, with each sale limited to two days.

* 🗑️ Dumping construction materials, tires or garbage on vacant property is illegal.

* 🌳 Your trees can technically be illegal if they block too much sidewalk clearance. Branches/foliage are required to maintain 8 feet of clearance over sidewalks.
