Before sending any funds, always verify wiring instructions by phone using a trusted number for your title company or lender. Be especially cautious of last-minute changes, resend requests, or emails/texts asking you to “confirm” updated instructions.

If something feels off, pause and verify. Protecting your down payment is worth the extra call.
