Made in Marfa Texas. Every piece I design begins long before it becomes a product.
For me, the object is never the whole story. It carries the origin of its materials, the people behind them, the search for sustainable resources, and respect for the lives and trades that make it possible.
My joinery relies on traditional wood-to-wood assemblies rather than nails. I finish each piece with a citrus-based, non-toxic oil, and long-term care is simple—olive oil is all that’s needed to help preserve and nourish the wood over time. I believe a product’s life doesn’t end when it leaves my workshop; its entire cycle matters.
This piece has found its home, and knowing my client is happy with it is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
For this project, I chose walnut and purpleheart. While these species are not native to Texas, I source them only through distributors who follow strict responsible sourcing standards. Quality materials come at a higher cost, but so do craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a deep understanding of the market I serve.
Every decision is intentional. Every piece tells a story.
