From a very young age, I can remember going to open houses, home showings and answering phones for my mother’s company. Seeing the difference my mom made in the lives of so many people and helping them achieve their dreams of owning a home, inspired me to follow in my mother’s footsteps. I also love to travel, but nothing beats the feeling of coming home. That’s what I aspire to do. I want to help families achieve that feeling of “coming home”. ✨ If you’re looking for a unique date night or girls’ night in El Paso, add the Candlelight Concert Series to your list! 🕯️🎻

Last night I attended the 90s Hip-Hop on Strings concert at St. Rogers Depot, and it was such a fun experience! I’ve also been to one of their performances at the El Paso Zoo, and both venues create a completely different—but equally magical—atmosphere.

A few tips if you’re planning to go:

🎟️ Arrive about 30 minutes early if you’d like to grab a drink and chat before the performance.
🪑 Seating is first come, first served within the ticket section you purchased, so getting there early gives you more seating options.
🎻 The concert lasts right around an hour, which I think is the perfect length.
✨ The candlelit setting is intimate, relaxing, and honestly, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

One of my favorite things is they are all local musicians and they play a variety of shows. It’s not your regular classical music!

Took my freeloading assistant (aka my 6-year-old son) out for lunch today to Roll-In Flautas😂

We originally planned on grabbing rolled tacos from the place across the street, Chicos Tacos, but since I didn’t have enough cash, we spotted Roll-In Flautas and decided to give it a try.

I’m glad we did!

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and offered some great menu suggestions. The restaurant was clean, had an awesome salsa bar, and even better, they had a complimentary corn, beans, and consommé bar where you could fix yourself up a tasty snack while waiting for your food. Not that we had to wait long; our order came out pretty quickly.

I tried the brisket flautas and really enjoyed them (especially after loading them up with all the toppings 😋). They come with four long, crispy flautas, or you can order an eight-pack and mix and match fillings.

My little assistant ordered a Juárez-style hot dog wrapped in bacon and pizza dough along with fries. He gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. 👍👍 Between the games available while we waited and the great music playing, he stayed entertained and even busted out a few dance moves.

For around $23 for both of us, it was a fun lunch with good food, friendly service, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
