🚨 WEATHER SAFETY MESSAGE | CITY OF EL RENO 🚨
With the likelihood of incoming snow, the City of El Reno is closely monitoring conditions. If circumstances dictate (e.g. wide-spread power outage), a warming station may be opened at the El Reno Senior Citizens Center. At this time, no specific date or time is set—this will be determined based on need.
👉 Immediate Assistance Needs for Below Freezing Temperatures
If you do not have heat, or if your heat is not working and you need immediate assistance, call the El Reno Police Department at 405-262-6941.
🛣️ Road & Sidewalk Operations
If roads are impacted, City crews will be on standby to clear streets along designated snow routes, prioritizing emergency routes, EMS stations, and locations requested by police dispatch. A separate crew will address city building sidewalks and downtown sidewalks as needed. Please note that it may not be possible to begin road treatment or clearing until certain aspects of the winter weather have passed.
Please check on neighbors, especially seniors and those without reliable heat, and continue to monitor City of El Reno updates.
Stay warm. Stay safe.
