This weeks spotlight goes to the long time Industrial Lock and Security. This shop has been a part of El Segundo since 1977. The reason it is called “Industrial Lock and Security” is actually pretty interesting. When the original owner sold South Bay Industrial Hardware on Grand Ave, the owner’s son removed the locksmith section and opened his own store here on Main Street donning the “Industrial” name.

Elyse Beardsley has been the proud owner of Industrial Lock and Security since 1984. Not only has she been a great business owner, but she is super involved in the community and constantly gives back. Elyse has been Rotary President twice and is currently the President of the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce!
Some of Industrial Lock and Security’s past and current clients are: SpaceX, Netflix, Amazon, the new NFL Sofi Office buildings, and the company actually re-keyed the entire Queen Mary!
When you need a locksmith, you know where to go:) The whole staff at Industrial Lock and Security is always so warm and friendly. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to stop by and talk to them!

Also a little El Segundo secret, but right outside of their doors is a coupon that may come in handy sometime 😉

This weeks spotlight goes to the long-time Richmond Bar and Grill and one of it’s passionate new owners, Riley Montz.
Riley is a lifelong El Segundo resident who loves this community. He and his partners recently purchased this bar in June 2020. They have done a wonderful job renovating the place but still keeping the original charm and even restoring the signs back to their day one beauty. They have a solid lunch menu (I love the burger, its delicious) and an awesome front patio with TVs for sporting events. There is also a super cool back patio and bonus room that you can rent for personal parties and events. I’m an active member in the El Segundo Kiwanis Club and we have our meetings here every other Tuesday 🙂

Hello Wonderful El Segundo Community!

This weeks spotlight goes to the one and only Old Town Music Hall!
This is a staple of El Segundo and it is finally back with a awesome line up of halloween movies including Phantom of the Opera on Halloween Day :)

“Since 1968, Old Town Music Hall has been showing vintage silent and sound films, and presenting live concerts by some of the world's finest performers of jazz, ragtime, and popular music from the past.
Silent films are accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer, a massive 1925 wind-powered pipe organ that has been meticulously preserved so that silent classics can be experienced with live musical accompaniment, just as they did when they were first shown. It's something you really have to see and hear to believe.”

Old Town Music Hall is a nonprofit organization and our help will keep them here for years to come! I have such fond memories going as a kid and watching the classic movies and seeing the incredible Wurlitzer performances. I’m so excited to go again! You might even see me there on Halloween 🎃👻

This weeks spotlight goes to the brand new “Dipped Ice Cream” shop in town! Jamie and Ron are longtime South Bay residents of El Porto and are so excited to share their love of ice cream with our beautiful little community. This chocolate dipped ice cream is a must try and they are currently doing a soft open while remodeling and our offering a limited amount of flavors!
Let us welcome them to El Segundo with open arms! These lovely people also give jobs to our very own high school students :) Located at the old Tyler Surfboard shop, 118 W Grand ave!

This week’s spotlight goes to Kelly’s Beach Hut located in the heart of El Segundo.
Long time El Segundo Resident Kelly Burner has been bringing the California coastal decor and vibes to our little beach town for several years now. Not only is she a wonderful person running her own business but every item in her store is made by other LOCAL BUSINESSES and ARTISTS..and to me that is truly amazing!

Keeping a business afloat through covid has been very challenging for many but we can do our part and support our community. Stop by and check out some of the great items she has to offer and not only will you be supporting her, but another hard working business owner as well 😁🏝🌞
