Whew! I was in physical therapy crying today. I mean real tears rolling while I was trying to do those exercises! 😭

Then they added a new exercise today, like I wasn’t already fighting for my life. By the time I finished with the heat, electricity and everything else, I could barely get up out of the chair. I felt like a little old lady! 😂

My therapist told me I have to do those exercises three times a day, or I’m going to end up hunched over, holding my back and struggling to walk.

Lord knows I cannot be in that predicament! I have houses to sell, bonds to write, cars to move and roles to act. So I guess I’ll be somewhere crying and exercising three times a day! 😩😂

So I’m on the phone when she says, “Mama has a fever of 104.2. I thought you should know.”

I hung up and called Mama immediately.

Me: “How are you?”

Mama: “Oh, I’m fine. Just getting over a little cold.”

Me: “What’s going on?”

Mama: “I had a little fever, but you ain’t got to come scoop me up and take me to Columbia!” 😂🤣

She already knew! She said, “As soon as somebody says I don’t feel good or I’m sick, you be on your way. That’s why I don’t know what they call and tell you for!”

Then she gave me the full report: her temperature was already coming down, she took a test, it wasn’t COVID, and according to her, it was “just a little cold.”

I love that she explained everything because she knows I would have been on that highway headed to pick her up. And once I got there, she wouldn’t have had a choice. She was coming to Columbia with me until I decided she was better! 😂❤️

So I’m sitting at George’s shop when my sister calls and says, “You know that place beside your office, Rich Off Chitlins? The man told me to tell you to stop calling the police on them.” 😂

Excuse me, sir? I drove straight over there because one thing about me, I believe in face to face conversations. We put the property manager on speakerphone and cleared the whole thing up. I was not the one calling the police.

I explained that I have no problem with his business. Most days I’m not even at my office because I’m down the street selling cars. When I do come to my office, I simply need enough parking space to get inside. That was my only concern.

I believe Black business owners should be able to communicate directly without rumors, assumptions, or unnecessary conflict. Ask me what I said or did, and I will tell you to your face because that has always been my character.

So hopefully, we have officially built a bridge over troubled chitlin water. 😂

Let that man get Rich Off Chitlins!

Meanwhile, I’m trying to get rich off real estate, bail bonds, acting, and auto sales. There is enough money in the world for all of us. Just leave me one parking space so I can get to mine! 😂🤣

I had to come home and get straight in the bed! That sun is no joke, and I already overdid it last night. Then my dang fur grandbaby had me up at 5:30 this morning whining! 😩😂

I got a lot accomplished, but I’m officially requesting a do over for today. Good night, y’all! I’m not even eating dinner. 🥱💤

Tah’Mara was clearly saying “apple,” then sang “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” while pointing to the right body parts! Look at my baby girl! 🙌🏾

Never let man’s label become your child’s identity. They said “nonverbal,” but God said, “Not so!” Only God has the final word, and He is speaking life over my baby girl!

Physical therapy got me questioning whether healing is really worth all this! 😩😂

I know it’s supposed to hurt before it gets better, but BABY…this therapist is finding muscles I didn’t know I had!

Who else has a love hate relationship with physical therapy?

While the world is out finding something to get into, Friday night is my time, my vibe, all me! The grill is going, the pots are rolling, and I’m enjoying my own company.

I don’t have to romanticize the life I want. I create the moments, set the mood, cook the meal, and enjoy it all by myself. My happiness doesn’t wait for company. ❤️‍🔥

It’s crazy how you can walk into physical therapy feeling halfway decent and leave in more pain than you started with! 😩

I understand we’re working muscles that haven’t been used properly, but these spasms and sleepless nights are getting on my nerves. I didn’t even need medication before “therapy.” If I felt bad, I could just go to sleep and wake up feeling better.

Hell, now I don’t even know when I feel good! 😂🤦🏽‍♀️
