Good news for Vine Grove property owners!

The property tax rate is going DOWN from .163 to .140 per $100 of assessed value!

With property assessments increasing, the Mayor and City Council felt that using the compensating rate was the best avenue for residents. Under Kentucky’s compensating-rate process, the tax rate is adjusted when assessments increase so the city generally receives about the same revenue from existing property.

What does this mean for you?

You should see a decrease in the City of Vine Grove portion of your property tax bill.
