First of all glory to god, sharing my story so you can see his glory. I found myself in the middle of a divorce, broken and broke…with no control…no direction. I remember asking myself Vee what’s going to make you happy for you not anyone else forget everyone what do you want. My heart whispered finish your degree. ✨

At the time the journey felt and looked impossible…I had droped out of college with a 1.9GPA on academic probation, now as a single mom of two I knew it would be challenging. I enrolled at a community college and started taking classes to improve my GPA and “eventually” transfer. I told my parents I wanted to go to school and they supported me by watching the kids while I took classes. And then suddenly the seed god had planted was starting to flourish…fast! I applied to transfer before I was ready kind of treating it like a preapproval process figuring they would tell me what I needed to work on and I would have time to prepare. 😱 unexpectedly the acceptance email from sac state came through… I was at my parent house in the kitchen and I started crying because it felt unreal. I thought they made a mistake this can’t be real. I started taking classes in the spring of 2024 and when I say god planted this seed he also funded it. Gods hand has been all over this dream and by his grace I get to celebrate this milestone with my family.

My destiny was delayed not denied and I can now see why. Beyond greatful for all the growth these last two years has brought and now looking forward to following the other seeds god had planted in my heart ✨

Glory to god, and thank you to my family. This would not be possible with out my parents, my sisters, my children, my aunts and uncles, and my biggest supporters and now angels in heaven my grandparents 🤍
