Potential buyers will want to get a closer look when they see your brightly lit living spaces and cozy bedrooms. So how do you go about preparing for real estate photos to ensure you get the best results? Here are 3 things you can do.

#1 Turn on All Lights 💡
Before your photographer arrives, spend a minute turning on all the lights inside the house. This is important at any time of day. Turn on overhead lights as well as lamps and other task lighting.
#2 Turn off Electronics 📺
For the best photos, turn off all other household electronics. Turn off the TV, computers, fans, or anything else that can cause a disturbance or look strange in photos.
#3 Make the Beds 🛏️
Don’t forget to make your bed and straighten the duvet, quilt, or comforter. Be sure to fluff the pillows. Smooth your linens to keep them even and wrinkle-free. These small details will stand out in photos!

News from last week shows the economy continues to grow but doing so in a slower pace. The early reading for Gross domestic product (GDP) of the first quarter of this year suggests that the economy expanded but the momentum appeared to have fizzled out. When looking at retail sales and personal spending, consumers had been holding back despite real income improving nine months in a row. While strong labor market continues to support wage growth, it also translates into higher labor costs and puts upward pressure on inflation. On top of that, recent bank failures added uncertainty to the overall health of the economy in the long-run and suppressed consumer confidence on the future expectation. As for the real estate market, the short supply of existing homes for sale steered more home buying activity into the newly constructed housing sector, which comprised 33.2% of total single-family housing inventory in March – nearly double the 17.8% average in the year before the pandemic.

Did you know, in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo is known as El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (The Day of the Battle of Puebla). And while it is celebrated in parts of Mexico it is more widely celebrated here, in the U.S. In fact, Los Angeles’s annual Cinco de Mayo celebration is bigger than the one that takes place in Puebla, Mexico, where the holiday originated.
