Time on earth is temporary. So many people wait for everything to line up or believe they have more time. My cousin became a first time homebuyer after the passing of his mother and that rocked him to his core. He had a great job and had finally received permanent full time at work following COVID. His best friend was his dog Max! Max went everywhere with him, even to work. He experienced the loss of his beloved Max and recently lost his Auntie, my mom on Aug 1. He wasn’t able to make it as he said he had some breathing issues with his COPD. I sent him a text about 3 weeks ago to check in on him. I knew he must have been bad because he didn’t make it to the funeral for mom. He said he was doing good and hoped I was healing after the loss of my mom. His words meant a lot to me because he understood all to well grief requires us to heal….and it’s not always easy. I’m not sure what happened to my cousin Michael, but I know he did suffer from COPD and a broken heart. The other thing I know with our long talks together is that Jesus and Jesus loves him and he knew that he accepted it and God’s grace is perfect. He’s free from pain-free from suffering and in the presence of Jesus his mom and my mom, his auntie Beverly. Love conquers all.
