3 THINGS WE LEARNED AT OUR ESTATE PLANNING & REAL ESTATE WORKSHOP

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of learning, great questions, and important conversations about protecting your biggest asset.

Here are 3 key takeaways:

1️⃣ A will doesn’t automatically avoid probate. Even with a will, your estate may still need to go through the probate process.

2️⃣ Probate can be costly. In California, statutory probate fees are 4% of the first $100,000 and 3% of the next $100,000 of the probate estate.

3️⃣ There are two common types of trusts: revocable and irrevocable. Both can help assets avoid probate when properly established and funded.

Estate planning isn’t just about what happens to your home, it’s about making sure your wishes and the people you care about are protected.

The Sacramento County market is showing some interesting shifts:

🏡 Homes sold: Down 54 from June
⏱️ Days on market: Up to 33 days
💰 Average sales price: Down to $603K
📈 Inventory: Up to 2.5 months
