Our dogs need help - free adoptions to make space and save lives!

The shelter is critically full, so adoption fees are waived for all dogs through Sunday, August 23. Every adoption creates space for another dog in need.

Our adoption counselors will help match you with the right dog, and every dog goes home spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Hot pavement can burn your dog's paws faster than you think.

It's up to you to keep them safe:
🚶 Walk in the early morning or after sunset.
💧 Bring plenty of water.
🥾 Get your dog comfortable wearing booties to protect their paw pads.
🧊 Pack cooling gear like a cooling vest, fan, or mister for warmer outings.
🏡 And on the hottest days, the safest place for your dog may be relaxing in the air conditioning.

When in doubt, place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog's paws. Stay cool and have a safe summer! ☀️

Very handsome Teddy swims has been patiently waiting for far too long. He is one of the most special boys who has survived even the hardest of times and is such a fighter. He is super sweet, an excellent cuddler, enjoys meeting, new dogs and is easy-going like owning a cat. He likes going for short walks, rides well in the car and will gladly sunbathe or sit next to you while you work all day. He’s a quiet boy who doesn’t have high needs and he’s just looking for a special spot to land. He’s only about 8 to 10 years young and is barely even in his golden years. Help us find him a special home to love him forever.

We are planning for A LOT of cute new faces heading to the adoption floor tomorrow, so stay tuned for preview posts today so you can plan your Saturday morning accordingly. 😉

The first group we are highlighting are 4 Chihuahua/Poodle (???) mixes - all adorable baby boys around 3-5lbs at 2 months old.
And yes, one of these things is not like the other!
