To all of you that are part of Penni Hanson’s (Sexton) loving family, her dear friends, her clients, co-workers, fellow parishioners, and business associates, I am John Hanson, the love of her life, her friend, lover, traveling companion, and husband of 38 years.
Penni passed from this life to her Heavenly reward on December 21st. She lived in the Elk Grove area most of her life and knows most of you from her life there. She was, first and foremost, the mother of her two sons, Josh & Jeremy. She was intensely proud of her two boys, both Dr. Hanson. She had many roles in the world around her. She was a wonderful spouse and life partner, a bookkeeper, an insurance agent, a realtor, a volunteer at her son’s school, a charitable worker at her Church, and a convert to Catholicism. As I am sure you recall, she was always the life of the party.
She leaves behind a large family, including 2 daughters-in-law, Sahoko & Alex, 2 sisters, Vicki & Shirely, 2 brothers, John & Jerry, 6 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, 19 nieces & nephews and numerous friends and neighbors.
Her memorial Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Church in Elk Grove at 11:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2022. The address is 9539 Racquet Ct. Elk Grove, CA 95758.
The Rosary and memorial will be held at the Herberger Family Funeral Home on the night before, on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 6:00 pm. The address is 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. Elk Grove, CA 95624. This will be a great opportunity to honor Penni’s life with your fond stories of your friend, neighbor, classmate, family member or co-worker.
