If you're buying a home, you've probably heard the term "earnest deposit" and wondered exactly what it means 🏡

An earnest deposit is money submitted with your offer as a sign of good faith that you're serious about purchasing the home. If everything moves forward as planned, that deposit is typically credited back to you at closing and can be applied toward your down payment or closing costs.

As I've been reflecting on 25 years in real estate, I've come across a lot of memories and keepsakes from throughout my career 🏡

One that I recently found was a newspaper article from 2016 highlighting a donation initiative I did years ago, where I gave back to a local organization from each transaction.

It was a fun reminder that supporting local causes has been important to me for a long time, which is one of the reasons I decided to bring that idea back this year through my partnership with Abide Omaha.

Looking back on moments like this has been one of my favorite parts of celebrating 25 years in the business 🤍
