My dear friend Linda Hayes was always the go‑to person for anyone who fell on hard times. She was the one who helped families find housing, guided them through energy assistance when the electric bills became overwhelming, made sure there was food in the fridge, and built a circle of support around them until they made it through their moment of crisis. For years, she was a fierce, compassionate advocate for families — the kind of person who changed lives quietly, consistently, and with a full heart.

Then she retired… and I “sort of” retired… and time went by. Until one day, I got a call saying she and her husband, Mike, were thinking about downsizing — and she wanted me to sell their home - their home of 50 plus years. I had to pause and catch my breath. The honor of helping a legend was overwhelming in the best way.

Linda and Mike's home — absolutely glorious, warm, and full of love — didn’t stay on the market for even a single day. We closed today, and I couldn’t be happier for Linda and Mike… and absolutely thrilled for the buyers who now get to raise their family in a home filled with decades of care, kindness, and commitment to community.
