Referrals are the backbone of my business—always have been.
No big marketing push, no gimmicks. Just people trusting me enough to pass my name along, and that’s something I never take lightly.
So I always notice how other businesses handle them. Here’s my take: if your business runs on word of mouth, you should treat every referral like gold. Because behind almost every new client is someone who spoke highly of you when it mattered.
It’s also why I’m thoughtful about how referrals are handled.
In my business, that kind of trust is always acknowledged. Maybe not always with something tangible, but always with intention—a thank you, a check-in, a genuine appreciation for the connection.
Because referrals aren’t just leads… they’re relationships.
Curious—how do you approach referrals in your business?
