I recognize spectacular customer service when I see it, and I'm here to tell you that Royal Taj restaurant in Columbia could have written the book! From the moment you walk in the door (which has been opened for you, of course), every sense is stimuated. The smell of India, the perfectly cultural decor, the lighting is just right, the tables are arranged perfectly (even for what feels like a romantic dinner for 2 by the fire, despite the fact that you're on the fringes of a completely full restaurant), and the food. Oh, the eyes-roll-back-in-their-sockets and I-can't-stop-eating-even-when-I'm-full delicious food!! Throughout the entire experience, however, what always stands out to me is the spectacular customer service. When you arrive, it's like you've come for Sunday family dinner. They may not actually remember me from my last visit, but they really make me feel like they do, and I feel like they're so happy to see me! The service is absolutely five star, and truly serves to complete the experience that is Royal Taj. They're the only Indian restaurant for me!
