Sad 😭

After 39 years, the GBI and FBI have identified remains found in August 1986 as those of homicide victim David Clary. Agents partnered with CJCC and Othram, Inc. for the use of genetic technology to identify the remains. The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI for assistance.

Clary grew up in the Charlotte, NC area. At the time of his death, he made frequent trips to Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. His last known location was in Gwinnett County.

David Clary has been identified, but the search for answers about his death continues. The GBI needs the public’s help. If you have information about this case, please contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland at (706) 348-4866, the GBI Cold Case Unit at (404) 239-2106, or the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 635-4646.
