In Epworth, GA, a 30-year-old vent-free gas fireplace, which had been improperly modified, was rectified today. The fireplace, originally a 22k BTU box converted to 30k BTU burner, posed a significant fire risk and was replaced with a new vent-free LP gas log featuring a wireless remote timer, blower, standing pilot, concrete logs, Millivolt control, and ember bed, eliminating the risk of toxic fumes. The renovated unit is now both functional and visually appealing.

Wood burning fireplace, converted to LP gas logs.... Rental property, consistent issues with guests messing with logs! Today we removed the LP system and converted to Electric fireplace, with sparks, heat 5k, crackling sound and remote. This should save the owner from service calls and wasted propane. Looks and sounds so real.

This one might be the winner for 2024!
LP gas logs in livingroom, renter thought it was a Weber Grill, dumped a bag of charcoal in firebox and on top of gas log system. Melted everything! Gas line disconnected and capped logs removed and firebox red tagged out of service until repairs are made.

Fireplace inspection indicated deficiencies in flue... Originally installer ran short of proper insulated air cooled sl300 series pipe, so hand made remaining pipe out of 29g galvinized steel. We removed it and installed proper pipe, sealed storm color and chase cap.
