Another water damage restoration project completed by Homes of Acadia.

In this case, a failed water heater caused extensive damage to portions of the drywall, insulation, and subfloor. Repairs included new subfloor, insulation, drywall, structural blocking, and brand-new LVP flooring throughout the home.

This second phase of work was focused on upgrades throughout the basement, kitchen, bathroom, and upstairs bedrooms.

In the basement, we refreshed both the Game Room and Wellness Room with new paint throughout, updated ceilings, replacement 2×4 drop ceiling tiles, new LVP flooring, and baseboard trim to completely modernize the space. Furniture was carefully moved and reset throughout the process to keep the home functional during construction.

Additional work included a full bathroom refresh with updated finishes and fixtures, custom accent wall details upstairs, shiplap preparation, accent slat installation, and painting in two bedrooms based on the client’s design vision.

In the kitchen, we painted all cabinetry, removed shelving for a cleaner layout and future TV setup, removed the sink bridge, and installed new sconce lighting along with multiple lighting upgrades throughout the home.
Projects like this are a great example of how thoughtful finish work, lighting, flooring, and attention to detail can completely transform the feel of a home.

Unfortunately, projects like this are a reminder of how important proper installation and weatherproofing really are. Lower pricing upfront can sometimes lead to much bigger repairs later on.

This sunroom addition was only a few years old before major leaks started appearing around the roof valleys, windows, and doors.

Our work included:
• Rebuilding roof valleys
• Updated weatherproofing
• New cedar shake siding, soffits, fascia & trim
• Interior sanding, sealing & refinishing after water damage
