We are so proud to share that Amanda is a co-author of Hospitable Hosts: STR Sisterhood, a collection of stories and lessons from short term rental hosts who are passionate about hospitality and about lifting each other up.

In her chapter, Amanda shares lessons from managing homes year round, or advice for new hosts. It is the same approach she brings to every property we manage: real care for guests, for owners, and for the community we call home.

Tucked just off Main Street at 25 Pine Street, Fogtown has become a true community hub for local art, live music, and good company.

They make small batch b**r, c***r, and w**e inspired by the flavors of Downeast Maine, along with award winning wood-fired pizza made with ingredients from local farmers and growers. Grab a drink inside, order your pizza, and settle in at a picnic table in the b**r garden (you know, when it isn't winter 😉). It is a perfect stop after a day of hiking, exploring Acadia, or just running errands in town.

Fall doing its thing Downeast. 🍂 These colors are what bring guests to our properties this time of year. For us, it is just one of the many reasons we never want to leave. Starting today, Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the United States to see the sunrise. 🌅 From October 7 through March 6, early risers on the summit catch the first light of the day, and it is a short drive from our Downeast homes. A few tips: dress warmer than you think you need to, arrive early, and check the National Park Service website for current vehicle reservation requirements before you go. Worth every minute of the early alarm.

The holidays are one of our favorite times to fill an owner's calendar, and Ocean Mist Chalet is exactly the kind of property that shines this time of year. Four bedrooms, true ocean frontage, a cozy fireplace paired with warm, colorful decor, and views that make the whole home feel like a holiday postcard. It's the kind of property that doesn't need much convincing once guests see it.

Homes like this remind us why we love what we do. Winter and holiday bookings aren't always top of mind for owners, but properties with real character, a great fireplace, water views, and comfortable gathering space, have real earning potential in the off season if they're positioned and marketed the right way.
