That’s 5 million children at risk of experiencing increased anxiety, emotional isolation, loss of social interest, and/or feelings of hopelessness. And that’s why, at Kesem, we are committed to creating a world where every child who has a parent with a cancer diagnosis or has lost a parent to cancer is never alone. We support these children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community.

Strain for the Brain is an annual event held to honor individuals diagnosed with a brain tumor and to celebrate the family and friends there to support them. Brain tumors are a devastating disease that affects 80,000 people and their families each year. The funds raised through Strain for the Brain will directly contribute to advancements in research, medical treatments, and support programs for individuals and families impacted by this life-changing condition. .
Strain for the Brain is a Milwaukee based 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization started in 2010 by a brain tumor survivor. It is an annual event held to honor individuals diagnosed with a brain tumor and to celebrate the family and friends there to support them. Since 2010, SFTB has donated over $750,000 to the brain tumor program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.
