Installing a Symterra Pulse system is only part of the process. Before the job is complete, technicians need to confirm that the signal is active across every installed section.

Using the Symterra Signal Detector, installers can check for an audible signal indication and verify that the signal is detectable from at least 1 ft / 30 cm away from the Emitter Line.

For bird control professionals, this is an important final commissioning step. For facility managers, it provides added confidence that the system has been tested rather than simply installed.

Because a professional installation doesn't end when the hardware is in place. It ends with verification.

What actually makes up a Symterra Pulse system?

At the center is the Control Hub, which generates and manages the proprietary signal. The Emitter Line extends that signal across the installation area, while supports position the line at the appropriate distance from the substrate. Connectors, Y-Connector Assemblies, extension spacers, and End Caps help complete and configure the installation.

The Signal Detector is then used during verification to confirm that the signal is active across the installed sections.

The components are straightforward. The design is site-specific.

Substrate, structure, bird behavior, landing patterns, and other site conditions all help determine how those components are configured for an installation.

Before the Control Hub is mounted or the Emitter Line is installed, there is work to do.

A Symterra Pulse site survey considers power locations, substrate, Emitter Line requirements, bird species, landing patterns, bird pressure, and behavior. Those observations help inform how the system should be laid out for the specific site.
